Our Story
The Orchard is a church where you can come as you are. Our doors are open to all people from all types of backgrounds, denominations and experiences…no asterisks. We believe that we are called to Love God and Love People, it’s that simple. At The Orchard we are rooted in Christ, growing together and bringing fruit to our Valley. God first loved us and it is because of that love we have experienced that we love those around us, it was meant to share…not just keep for ourselves. Our success is not measured in how many are involved with our church but by how many in our community are getting new glimpses of the heart of God. As we love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength we give that back to our community and fellow members here at The Orchard.
Why Give?
Giving our tithes and offerings reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us. In reality, all that we have is truly His and He has graciously given opportunities and provision to us. This is our opportunity to show God that He is first in our lives. Tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of His blessing in your life.
Leviticus 27:30
“A tithe of everything from the land…belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.”
Malachi 3:8
“Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings.”
Instead, may we bless God by giving to Him with a glad heart!
2 Corinthians 9:7
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Make a Difference
The church is divinely unique in many ways, it is also an organization with many moving parts. Each of these parts require funding just like any other organization. Many people are fed on Sunday mornings, are pastored through crisis, enjoy the community of a small group gatherings and are benefiting from the church and its many outreach sources. We are here to be a blessing and a source of peace and power through life’s many challenges and successes. Through the generous giving of our church family and others we are able to invest in our community and assist where needed.
Those who give are giving to the work of Christ and to those things that keep the mission moving; the building and the land have to be paid for and maintained, the pastors and other staff need to be paid, the light bill has to be paid. Cleaning supplies, Bibles, chairs, and equipment must be purchased. There’s work to do and things to buy to keep The Orchard moving!
If you’re volunteering, we appreciate you! Volunteering is important. But your volunteer labor, precious as it is, will not keep the lights on or feed the poor. We believe and practice a life of generosity and tithing and invite you to join us.

Giving

Funding The Orchard’s Vision & Mission
The offerings of the people committed to the vision & mission of The Orchard are what support our Ministry. We do not “pass the plate” on a Sunday morning. An offering box is located inside the Worship Center at the rear of the auditorium as well as at the entrance near the Gathering Center. On-line giving is an option which is secure and easily accessible any time of day. Or complete an envelope and drop it in the mail if you wish to give via check. Check/cash. Make your check to The Orchard, put it in the offering box on Sunday or mail it to: The Orchard, 110 Snowmass Drive, Carbondale, CO 81623. Offering envelopes are available near the offering boxes at both entrances to the auditorium.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
